Troubleshoot Stripe Terminal setup and orders

Use this page when Stripe Terminal setup, ordering, or registration fails in Donations > Terminals.

Stripe Terminal is not available in your country

Terminals only work where Stripe Terminal is supported. When your organization country is unsupported, Terminals shows Stripe Terminal is not available in your country.

The message states that Stripe Terminal supports over 35 countries, including the US, Canada, UK, and most of Europe, and points to stripe.com/terminal for more information.

Confirm whether Masjidbox Donations and Stripe are available for your country in Is Masjidbox Donations available in my country?. If Terminals remains unavailable, contact Masjidbox support.

Action required: Upgrade to the new Masjidbox Donations

If your donations account is validated but not yet on the new Stripe-connected setup, Terminals shows the migration banner instead of the order and register flow.

Choose Migrate or Continue Migration, finish Stripe Connect onboarding, then return to Terminals. Full setup steps are in Set up Stripe Terminal for in-person donations.

Order payment failed or session expired

After you pay for hardware, Terminals returns you to an order result page based on the payment status.

  • Payment successful — Your payment was successful. Your terminal order has been placed and is being processed. Use Order History or Back to Terminals.

  • Payment session expired — Your payment session has expired. Choose Try Again to reopen Order Terminal Hardware and place the order again.

  • Payment pending — Your payment is still being processed. You will receive a confirmation email shortly. Use Back to Terminals.

If order creation fails earlier in the flow, Masjidbox shows Failed to create order. Please try again.

No shipping methods for your country

On the Delivery step, if Stripe has no shipping methods for your shipping country, Terminals shows No shipping methods available for your country.

Check the shipping country on the Shipping step, or confirm Terminal availability for your region. Contact Masjidbox support if your country should support terminal orders.

Terminal limit reached when adding a reader

When the number of non-archived terminals already matches your subscription allowance, Add Terminal or Pair a Terminal opens Terminal limit reached instead of the registration form.

  • If you can manage billing, choose Add more terminals to update the plan, then register the reader again.

  • If you cannot manage billing, ask an administrator to upgrade the plan. The message tells you to contact your administrator.

Registration or form errors

Register New Terminal requires both Terminal Label and Registration Code. Use the registration code from the terminal.

If submit fails after both fields are filled, Masjidbox shows a generic server error. Retry registration. If the error continues, contact Masjidbox support with the terminal label and when the failure happened.

For PIN changes, the PIN must be exactly 5 digits. Empty or invalid PINs show PIN code is required or PIN must be exactly 5 digits.

Terminal status is Offline or Decommissioned

Each registered reader can show Registered, Active, Offline, or Decommissioned in Terminals.

  • Offline means the dashboard currently reports the reader as offline.

  • Decommissioned terminals cannot be edited or deleted from the terminal card. Edit and Delete are disabled for that status.

For first-time setup, order, and registration steps, see Set up Stripe Terminal for in-person donations.
