How much does a donation terminal cost and what are the fees?
Donation terminals have three types of costs: a one-time hardware purchase, a monthly device subscription, and transaction fees deducted from donations.
One-time hardware cost
The Stripe Reader S700 terminal costs £279 (or equivalent in your currency). You purchase this directly from Stripe, not from Masjidbox. This is a one-time payment for the physical device and is not deducted from your donations.
Masjidbox can assist with ordering and shipping the terminal if needed, but does not mark up the Stripe price.
Monthly device subscription
Masjidbox charges €10 per month per terminal device. This fee is sometimes waived during Ramadan as a special promotion.
Transaction fees
Stripe charges standard card-present transaction fees for each donation made through the terminal. These fees are deducted from the donation amount you receive. Masjidbox does not add any platform commission—you only pay Stripe's processing fees.
