Ramadan Times (Imsak, Iftar, Taraweeh)
Quick answers to common questions about configuring and displaying Imsak, Iftar, and Taraweeh times during Ramadan.
Why isn't Taraweeh appearing on my screen?
Check these common causes:
Prayer times not configured — Set your Ramadan times in Settings > Prayer Times first. See How to Set Your Prayer Times.
Component not added — Add the "Imsak/Iftar/Taraweeh" or "Sehri/Iftar/Imsak" slide to your playlist.
Free plan limitations — Ramadan time components require a Silver plan (€29/month).
Caching delay — Changes take 5-15 minutes to sync to screens.
Column disabled — Check component settings to ensure Taraweeh is toggled on.
How do I show only Iftar times (or hide specific columns)?
In your Ramadan timetable component settings, toggle individual columns on or off:
Imsak (Sehri)
Iftar
Taraweeh
Enable only the times you want to display. This works in Screens components, Pages blocks, and Apps. See Configure the Ramadan Times Timetable block for Pages-specific steps.
What's the difference between relative and fixed times?
Relative times are calculated automatically from prayer times:
Imsak = Fajr time minus 15 minutes (configurable offset)
Iftar = Maghrib time plus your chosen offset
Taraweeh = Isha Athan plus your offset (note: currently tied to Athan, not Iqamah)
Fixed times override calculations with absolute times you set manually. Use fixed times when you need Taraweeh to start at a consistent time tied to Iqamah rather than fluctuating with Isha Athan.
If Taraweeh needs to follow Iqamah time (e.g., 20 minutes after Isha Iqamah), use fixed times until the upcoming update adds Iqamah-based relative options.
Where do I configure Ramadan times?
Set all Ramadan times (Imsak, Iftar, Taraweeh) in your dashboard under Settings > Prayer Times. This configuration applies globally across Screens, Pages, Apps, and Calendars. Configure prayer times first before adding Ramadan components to your products.
Do Ramadan times work offline?
Yes. Screens using Masjidbox Player or Raspberry Pi display Ramadan times offline once synced. Changes require an internet connection to sync initially (5-15 minutes), then work without connectivity.
Printed and digital calendars have limited Ramadan support. Imsak appears on some calendar formats, but Taraweeh is not currently included in calendar exports.
